Grammar : was / were   

*  Find  and  underline  the  verbs  in  the  sentences  below .Are  the  verbs  in  the  present  or  in  the  past ?

Past  simple    :

*  The  past  simple  of  Be  is  was/ were  .  Use  was/ were  to  talk  about  the  past .
    When  speaking  use  constractions : wan't =  was not , weren't  =  were  not .
