the diference are when an object or thing is close to you , for example things that are in your desk while you're sitting in the chair .

Your  pencil   is ths pencil 
Your book is this book
Your Pen is this pen 
Your notebook is this notebook


Now things that are far for example you're in your living room=sala  sitting in your sofa the tv is far form you it's that tv. the dinning room = comedor is far from you so it is That dinning room. But what about the chairs around the table , are Those chairs .

Chairs = sillas 
around= al rededor 
Table = Mesa 
far=lejos 
so=entonces 
about= acerca de
But= Pero
